It does so to make sure that it is as fast and efficient as possible when you return to the same files or the same websites over and over again. As you well know, the more space that is taken up on the memory of your computer, the slower your PC will become. By deleting your history often you will keep your computer running much faster and much smoother. With the speeds of Internet connections today, there is really no need for the history to speed up anything at all. There is another reason to delete the history as well. It is about keeping your Internet privacy. When the history is in tact on your computer, where you have been on the Internet and what you have done there is much more accessible. Looking at the history files does not take that much computer savvy and there may be information there you just don’t want everyone to have.
